Life and register readings
Süleyman Efendi was born in Shkodër (İşkodra) in 1878/79 (AH 1296); the father's occupation was "Vize Cami-i Şerifi imamı ve ibtidai mektebi muallimi". At about 14, in 1892/93, Süleyman began work in Shkodër. The first annual entry, for 1892/93, places Süleyman in Shkodër, the birthplace, as Vilayet mektubi kalemi mülazımı, where the entries run to 1897/98. For 1898 to 1903 the lists have no entry. The last posts were in Istanbul from 1903 to 1906.
