How the list was made
The theses come from YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi, searched for every spelling of the registers (Sicill-i Ahvâl, Sicil-i Ahval, Sicil Ahval and others) and read on 15 October 2026. The articles come from DergiPark: every article record of DergiPark was copied on 15 October 2026, and those whose title, abstract or keywords name the registers were read, with the few found by a wider search that study the ulema files of the same system. Only studies that are based on the registers, use them among their sources or are about them are listed; a study that only mentions them is left out. An article that DergiPark lists twice is shown once. The year of an article is the one printed on its issue, as its DergiPark page gives it; where DergiPark put an old issue online years later, the study says so. Eleven more studies come from journals and symposium volumes outside DergiPark, found on 16 October 2026 through OpenAlex, Crossref, the publishers' own full-text search and the bibliography of the Türk Tarih Kurumu edition of the registers; they are the ones whose officials were read into the dataset of this site, each by two readers.
The summaries are written in English from the abstracts and are not the abstracts themselves. The number of officials is the one the abstract gives; where it gives none, the study shows none. For the eleven studies outside YÖK and DergiPark the summary is written from the study itself and the number is that of the officials read from it. A study is placed only by the words of its title, such as "Bayburtlu" or "Bayburt doğumlu"; a thesis held in the register of works of this site is placed as its work page is, and other studies by a decision of the editor. The year is that of first publication: an article that DergiPark put online later says so under "Summary".
