Antakya Belediye Kâtibi Mehmed Münir Efendi‟nin oğludur. Antakya‟da Hocazade
olarak tanınırlar. 5 Nisan 1886 (H.1 Recep 1303) tarihinde Antakya‟da doğmuĢtur. Antakya
Ġptidai ve rüĢtiye mekteplerinde müfredattaki derslerin tahsilini tamamladıktan sonra diploma
almaya hak kazanmıĢtır. Özel hocadan Arapça ve Farsça öğrenmiĢtir.

maaĢ miktarı gibi konulardan bahsedilmiĢtir. Ayrıca Osmanlı nüfus tezkiresi ve rüĢtiye
ulaĢmıĢtır. Rakka kazasında bulunduğu süre zarfında, zimmetinde herhangi bir Ģeyin
bulunmadığı 7 ġubat 1312 (R.25 Kânunusani 1327) tarihli vukuat pusulasında gösterilmiĢtir
