Life and register readings
Born in Erzincan, Ömer Miran Efendi came from the İslam community; the father was a tradesman (esnaf). The first annual entry, for 1865/66 (AH 1282), names Ömer Miran as emlak muharrir-i sanisi, with no place, with a rise to Tahrir Memuru in 1868/69. For 1881 to 1886 the lists have no entry. The lists give Vefat (death) for 1886/87 instead of a title.
