Konya vilayetinde Ürgüp hanedanından müteveffa Yesari Efendi'nin oğludur.Bin iki yüz yetmiş sekiz sene-i hicriyesine müsadif (1277) sene-i maliyesinde Ürgüp kasabasında tevellüd etmişdir.Sıbyan mektebinde mükaddematı ulümi diniye ve kasaba-i mezküre rüşdiye mektebinde müretteb dersleri bittahsil şehadetname almış ve iki sene medreseye devam ile arabi okumuştur.Türkçe kitabet ider.
