Life and register readings
The life of Hüseyin Hüsnü Efendi began in Gelibolu in 1862/63 (AH 1279); the father's occupation was "tütüncü". At about 16, in 1878, Hüseyin Hüsnü began work. The first annual entry, for 1878, names Hüseyin Hüsnü as Tahrirat Kalemi mülazımı, with no place. The lists have no entry for 1878 to 1881. Alongside, the lists for 1903 to 1910 give a second post, in Gelibolu as Mesalih-i Cariye Kâtibi, with a rise to Baskatip in 1905/06.
