Life and register readings
The life of Mehmed Tahir Efendi began in Tokat in 1860/61 (AH 1277). Work began in 1885/86, at about 25, on a first salary of 400 kuruş. The annual lists begin in 1885/86, with Mehmed Tahir as Memleha Kâtibi (geçici) and no place named. For 1887 to 1895 the lists have no entry.
