Life and register readings
Sâlih Hulusi Efendi was born in Çemişgezek in 1872/73 (AH 1289). At about 21, in 1893/94, Sâlih Hulusi began work in Aleppo (Halep). The annual lists begin in 1893/94, with Sâlih Hulusi as Vilayet muhasebe kalemi mülazımı in Aleppo, where the entries run to 1897/98. The last entries, from 1898 to 1901, name Sâlih Hulusi as Mal müdürlüğü refakat memuru, with no place. In place of a title the lists give İstifa (resignation) for 1897/98 and 1899/1900.
