Mustafa Fevzi Efendi

The life of Mustafa Fevzi Efendi began in Elbistan in 1859/60 (AH 1276); the father's occupation was "Sipahi mülazımı". At about 19, in 1878/79, Mustafa Fevzi began work in Elbistan, on a first salary of 225 kuruş. The first annual entry, for 1878/79, places Mustafa Fevzi in Elbistan, the birthplace, as Bidayet mahkemesi ikinci kâtibi, where the entries run to 1884/85. The annual lists then follow Mustafa Fevzi to Kahramanmaraş (Maraş) from 1885 to 1887. Alongside, the lists for 1886 to 1888 give a second post, in Gaziantep as Bidayet mahkemesi başkâtibi.
