Born in Komotini (Gümülcine) in 1875/76 (AH 1292), HÜSEYİN HÜSNÜ EFENDİ (A) was the child of a farmer (çiftçi). At about 21, in 1896/97, HÜSEYİN HÜSNÜ (A) began work. The first annual entry, for 1896/97, names HÜSEYİN HÜSNÜ (A) as İkinci Ordu Telgraf Bölüğü askeri, with no place.
