Life and register readings
The life of YUSUF AĞA began in Shkodër (İşkodra) in 1831/32 (AH 1247). YUSUF began work in 1848/49, at about 17, on a first salary of 124 kuruş. The annual lists begin in 1848/49, with YUSUF as Asakir-i Muvazzafa çavuşu and no place named. For 1849 to 1855, 1856 to 1860 and 1861 to 1866 the lists have no entry.
