Life and register readings
Mihail Efendi was born in Aleppo (Halep) in 1863/64 (AH 1280), into the Katolik community, and the father's occupation was "Halep Evkaf Kitabeti memuru". At about 14, in 1877/78, Mihail began work in Aleppo.
