Life and register readings

Osman Paşa was born in Nevesin in 1842/43 (AH 1258). At about 21, in 1863/64, Osman began work in Istanbul. The annual lists begin in 1863/64, with Osman as Baş Hümâyun silahşörü and no place named. The lists have no entry for 1868 to 1873. Next came Novi Pazar in 1877/78, as Mutasarrif. Alongside, the lists for 1877/78 give a second post, in a post with no place named as Mutasarrif.
