Life and register readings
Mustafa Sabri Efendi was born in Harput in 1864/65 (AH 1281); the father's occupation was "İbtidai mektebi muallimi". Work began in 1886/87, at about 22. The annual lists begin in 1886/87, with Mustafa Sabri as Askerlik and no place named. For 1887 to 1892 the lists have no entry. At the same time, from 1900/01, the lists also place Mustafa Sabri in Rumkale as Nüfus memuru vekili. Next came Jisr al-Shughur (Cisr-i Şugur) from 1901 to 1903. Alongside, the lists for 1902 to 1906 give a second post, in a post with no place named as Sandık emini. The annual lists then follow Mustafa Sabri to Jisr al-Shughur in 1907/08.
