Life and register readings
Süleyman Asım Bey was born in Elbistan in 1846/47 (AH 1263). Work began in Hayrabolu in 1877/78, at about 30, on a first salary of 1,100 kuruş. The first annual entry, for 1877/78, places Süleyman Asım in Hayrabolu as a district governor (Kaymakam). The annual lists then follow Süleyman Asım to Pogradec in 1878. The last posts were in Chrysoupoli (Sarışaban) from 1880 to 1883. The lists have no entry for 1883 to 1892. In place of a title the lists give Infisal for 1878; Azil (dismissal) for 1878/79 and 1892/93; İstifa (resignation) for 1882/83.
