Karahisar-ı Şarki Bidayet Mahkemesi Hukuk Dairesi azasından Tevfik
Efendi’nin oğludur. 1879’da Karahisar-ı Şarki’de doğmuştur. Tophane-i Amire
İdadi-i Sanayi Mektebi’nde okumuştur. Daha sonra askere giderek 14 Mart 1902’de
Tophane-i Amire İdadi -i Sanayi Mektebi’ne devam ettiği sırada Sanayi ve
Yunan Madalyaları’na layık görülmüştür.331
