The life of Süleyman Sıdkı Efendi began in Burdur in 1851/52 (AH 1268); the father's occupation was "Burdur Sancağı Defter-i Hakani Başkâtibi". Work began in Burdur in 1869/70, at about 17. The annual lists begin in 1869/70, with Süleyman Sıdkı as Merkez Tapu Kâtibi in Burdur, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1876/77. At the same time, from 1879 to 1908, the lists also place Süleyman Sıdkı in Burdur as Cinayet Mahkemesi Başkâtibi. For 1885 to 1899 and 1900 to 1905 the lists have no entry.
