Ahmed Ağa’nın oğlu olan Ahmed Şükrü Efendi, H. 1293 (1876 / 1877)
tarihinde Tokat’ta doğmuştur. Sıbyan mektebinde ilimlere giriş derslerini ve rüşdiyye
mektebinde müfredâttaki derslerini okuyarak diploma almış, ancak bu diplomayı
kaybetmiştir. Türkçe okuyup yazabilmektedir.
