Life and register readings
The life of Mehmet Asım Efendi began in Yozgat in 1874/75 (AH 1291); the father's occupation was "Tosya Telgraf ve Posta memuru". Work began in Tosya in 1891/92, at about 17. The annual lists begin in 1891/92, with Mehmet Asım as Muhabere Memurluğu stajyeri in Tosya, where the entries run to 1895/96. At the same time, from 1895 to 1898, the lists also place Mehmet Asım in Sinop as Telgraf ve Posta Merkezi Muhabere memuru. Alongside, the lists for 1897/98 give a second post, in Tosya as Telgraf ve Posta Merkezi Muhabere memuru.
