Ulemadan Hacı Hafız Mehmed Efendi’nin oğlu olan İbrahim Efendi, H. 1290
(1873 / 1874) tarihinde Tokat’ta doğmuştur. Sıbyan mektebinde ilimlere giriş derslerini,
rüşdiyye mektebinde de müfredât derslerini okuyarak aldığı diplomayı kaybetmiştir.
Türkçe okuyup yazabilmektedir.
