Life and register readings
The life of Kasım Sırrı Efendi began in Zara in 1877/78 (AH 1294). At about 14, in 1890/91, Kasım Sırrı began work. The annual lists begin in 1890/91, with Kasım Sırrı as Telgraf stajyeri in Zara, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1893/94. Alongside, the lists for 1893/94 give a second post, in Sivas as Telgraf ve posta merkezi muhabere memuru. The annual lists then follow Kasım Sırrı to Gümüşhacıköy in 1895/96.
