Life and register readings
Süleyman Sırrı Bey was born in Bosna in 1870/71 (AH 1287); the father's occupation was "Silahşorân-ı Hazret-i Şehriyârî". The personnel record dates the first work to 1891/92, after the first annual entry. The annual lists begin in 1884/85, with Süleyman Sırrı as Enderûn-ı Hümâyûn'a çerağ edilme and no place named. For 1885 to 1891 the lists have no entry. In place of a title the lists give Infisal for 1909/10.
