Kayseri Vakıflar Müdürü Mehmet Şükrü Efendi’nin oğludur. 1308 Hicri
senesinde (M. 1890/1891) Çorum’da doğmuştur. Çorum rüştiye ve idadisinde tahsil
görerek Hicri 17 Rebiülevvel 1321 tarihli (M. 13 Haziran 1903) iyi dere ceden
diplomasını almıştır.
Mahmut Nedim Bey’in şubece gösterilip iade edilen n üfus belgesinde Hicri 1306 senesi
(M. 1888/1889), Rumi 1305 senesinde (M. 1889/1890) doğduğu görülmüştür. Bundan
dolayı sicil belgesindeki önceden yazılmış olan doğum tarihi değiştirilmiştir.
Notes on the source account
- İlk doğum kaydı Hicri 1308 (1890/1891) olarak verilmiş, nüfus belgesindeki Hicri 1306 (1888/1889) ve Rumi 1305 (1889/1890) üzerine değiştirilmiştir. Kanonik AH yıl 1306'dır; takvimler arasında dönüşüm yapılmamıştır.
- Diplomanın kayıt tarihi Rumi 21 Teşrin-i evvel 1312 / 2 Kasım 1896 olarak basılmıştır; bu tarih diplomanın 1903 tarihinden öncedir. Kaynak düzeltme sunmadığından tarih aynen korunmuştur.
