Diğer defterdeki kayıtın transkripsiyonu şu şekildedir: “Mehmed Ziya Efendi Menlikli Mehmed Efendinin oğludur. Bin iki yüz yetmiş sekiz sene -i hicriyesinde Drama Sancağında tevellüd etmişdir. Liva -i mezbûr mekteb-i rüşdîyesinde Arapça sarf ve nahiv ve Fârisî tederrüs ederek ba -şahâdetnâme çıkmıştır. Şahâdetnâmesinin musaddak sûreti tercüme-i hâl varakasına merbutdur. Türkçe kitâbet eder. Bin iki yüz doksan beş sene -i hicriyesinde on yedi yaşında iken mülâzemetle Drama Sancağı muhasebe kalemine ve doksan altı senesi zilhiccesinde iki yüz otuz beş guruş m a‘âşla liva-i mezbûr tapu kitâbetine me’mûr olmuş ve doksan yedi senesi Rebiʽü ’l-âhirnin ikisinde ma‘âşat kararnâmesi mucebince ma ‘âşının humsi kat ’ ile yüz seksen sekiz guruşa tedennî ederek el -yevm bu mikdar ma ‘âşla kitâbet -i mezkûrede istihdâm olunmakta bulunmuştur. Hakkında şikâyet vukûuyla taht -ı muhâkemeye alınmamışdır. Drama Sancağı mutasarflığından tercüme -i hâl varakasına yazılan mülâhazada “bida’a-i müktesebe -i asliyesi iktizasınca ibraz -ı arz ve istikametle vazîfesi dâ ’iresinde ale ’d-devam hüsn -i icrâ-yı kitâbet etmekte olduğu bi ’l-müşahede tasdîk olunur ” denilmiştir. Vergi emânet -i aliyyesinin 3 Şâ ‘bân Sene [1]300 târihli zeylinde dahî “buraya yazılan mülâhazaya nazaran efendi -i mûmâ ileyhin devam ve gayreti anlaşılmıştır ” deyü muharrerdir. Fî 9 Rebiʽü’l-âhir Sene 1301 ve Fî 26 Kânûn-ı sânî Sene 1299. Mûmâ ileyh Mehemt Ziya Efendi ’nin me’mûriyeti bin üç yüz iki senesi Cemâziye ’l-âhiresinin dördünde vaki (bin üç yüz bir senesi Martının dokuzunda) üç yüz guruş ma ‘âş ile Drama Sancağı ‘âşâr idâresine tahvîl olunarak ‘âşâr idârelerinin lağvı cihetiyle bin üç yüz üç senesi Cemâziye ’l-âhiresinin altısına müsadif (bin üç yüz bir senesi Şubatı gayetinde) bi ’t-tabi infisâl edüb Bin üç yüz üç senesi Zilkâ ‘desinin on üçüne tesadüf eden (bin üç yüz iki senesi Ağustosunun birinde) dört yüz guruş ma ‘âş ile liva-i mezkûr sandık eminliğine ta‘yîn olunmuştur.” BOA.
