Life and register readings
The life of Ömer Lütfü Efendi began in Elbistan in 1858/59 (AH 1275); the father's occupation was "Elbistan müftüsü". Work began in Elbistan in 1886/87, at about 28. The annual lists begin in 1886/87, with Ömer Lütfü as Rüşdiye muallim-i sânisi in Elbistan, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1910/11.
