10 Rebiülevvel 1300 tarihinde (19 Ocak 1883) Uşak kasabasında doğmuştur.
Henüz altı yaşındayken Uşak merkezde bulunan ibtidai mektebiyle b eraber hafızlık
eğitimine de başlamıştır. Hafızlığı beş yılda bitirmiş ve c ami-i kebir müezzini Hafız
Ahmed Efendi’ye hıfzını d inleterek muvaffak olmuştur. 1894 senesi içinde Uşak
kasabasındaki Boduroğlu medresesine girerek Arabi ve Şerˁî ilimleri tahsile
başlamıştır. 1317 yılını n Mart ayında (Nisan 1901 ) Konya’ya giderek bir yıl daha
ilim tahsilinde bulunmuştur. Uşak’a döndüğünde yine Boduroğlu medresesinde
30 Ocak 1907 ’de Dersaadet’e giderek Fatih semti Otlukçu yokuşunda
bulunan Daru’l -hadis Muşlu Ali Efendi medresesine kaydolmuştur. Orada meşhur
ders alarak tahsilini tamamlamış ve n ihayet 30 Mayıs 1911 tarihinde icâzetname
