Life and register readings
The life of MUSTAFA NAZMĠ EFENDĠ began in Elmalı in 1859/60 (AH 1276); the father's occupation was "Antalya Düyun-ı Umumiye Müdürlüğü sandık emini, emekli". Work began in Elmalı in 1882/83, at about 23, on a first salary of 240 kuruş. The first annual entry, for 1882/83, places MUSTAFA NAZMĠ EFENDĠ in Elmalı, the birthplace, as Aşar idaresi ikinci kâtibi, where the entries run to 1885/86. The lists have no entry for 1886 to 1888. For 1890 to 1903 the lists have no entry. At the same time, from 1889/90, the lists also place MUSTAFA NAZMĠ EFENDĠ in Alanya (Alaiye) as Düyun-ı Umumiye memuru.
