Life and register readings
İsmail Hakkı Efendi was born in Bursa in 1844/45 (AH 1260), into the İslam community, and the father's occupation was "Kadı". At about 17, in 1861/62, İsmail Hakkı began work. The first annual entry, for 1861/62, names İsmail Hakkı in the Hüdâvendigar eyaleti tahrîrat kalemi, with no place. İsmail Hakkı then moved to Kibris in 1865/66. The last entries, from 1867 to 1896, name İsmail Hakkı as Bursa meclis temyiz-i hukuk mukayyid refâkati, with no place. In place of a title the lists give Infisal for 1870 to 1872 and 1878; Aciga Cikarildi for 1894/95; Azil (dismissal) for 1895/96.
