Türkçe ve biraz Fransızca okur ve Arapça ve Rumca konuşur. 1272'de İzmir Eyâleti Mazbata Odası'na girerek bir müddet devam ettikten sonra İzmir Tercüme Kalemi ve Evrak Müdürlüğü ve Meclis-i İdâre Kitâbeti hizmetlerinde istihdâm olunmuştur. (BOA SAD 1/276); ¹³⁷ 22 Zilhicce 1310'da ikinci rütbeden Osmanî nişanı, 24 Zilkâde 1310'da Papa tarafından üçüncü rütbeden Pinon, Rusya Devleti tarafından birinci rütbeden Sen Istanislas, Fransa Hükumeti tarafından üçüncü rütbeden Lejyon DöNuvar, Papalık tarafından birinci rütbeden Oliçnof, İtalya Devleti tarafından ikinci rütbeden Koron Ditali, Almanya Devleti tarafından birinci rütbeden Koron Döpros nişanları hamildir. (BOA SAD 1/276-277) Refah taraflarına bir İngiliz vapuruyla elli yük barut çıkarılıp oradan Kudüs'e getirildiği ve Gazze kaymakamının bilinen durumlarından dolayı Ariş ve Refah taraflarından bu gibi birçok yasak eşyanın girebeleceği ve Kudüs Sancağı'nın mevcut idaresi devam ederse oralarda telâfisi mümkün olmayan durumlar ortaya çıkabileceği Kudüs kumandanlığından bildirilmiştir. Yabancı kişilerin oraya yerleşmesine devletçe izin verilmemesi bildirildiği halde bu konudaki müsamahakar tavırları onların yerleşmesi sonucunu doğuracağından işin tahkikatına başlanmasıyla kendisinin orada görevini sürdürmesi uygun olamayacağından yerine digeri tayin buyurulmuştur. 6 Cemâziye'l-evvel 1315'de ayrılmıştır.(BOA SAD 1/277)
