Life and register readings
Born in Menteşe, Görele in 1875/76 (AH 1292), Mehmet Şemsülvahdet Efendi (1875-1915) was the child of a medrese teacher (müderris). Work began in 1902/03, at about 27, on a first salary of 150 kuruş. The first annual entry, for 1902/03, names Mehmet Şemsülvahdet (1875-1915) as Ders verme görevi, with no place. The lists have no entry for 1910 to 1914. In place of a title the lists give Vefat (death) for 1914/15.
