Hüseyin Efendi (Urfalızade) was born in Şanlıurfa (Urfa) in 1858/59 (AH 1275), within the İslam community. Schooling included mekatib-i adiye; İhsaniye Medresesi (Urfa); Haremeyn; Cami'ül-Ezher. The language repertoire included Arabic, Persian and Turkish. [1]
