Life and register readings
Süleyman Efendi was born in Shkodër (İşkodra) in 1861/62 (AH 1278). At about 16, in 1877/78, Süleyman began work in Shkodër. Every annual entry from 1877/78 to 1902/03 places Süleyman in Shkodër, the birthplace, first as Telgrafhane mülazımı, from 1902/03 as Evrak Muduru.
