The life
Yigor Efendi was born in Istanbul (Dersaadet) in 1835/36 (AH 1251). The father’s occupation was Mabeyn-i Hümayun memuru. Schooling included Millet, Sıbyan ve Rüşdiye mektepleri. The language repertoire included French, Italian and Rum (as recorded). [1]
The earliest service point in the record is dated 1854/55 (AH 1271). Service included Saray-ı Hümayun eczahanesi görevlisi (1854 to 1859 (AH 1271 to 1275)). Later posts included Saray-ı Hümayun eczahanesi görevlisi (1866 to 1880 (AH 1283 to 1297)). [1]
