The life

Hüseyin Şükrü Efendi was born in Istanbul (Dersaadet) in 1835/36 (AH 1251). The father’s occupation was Saray-ı Hümayun Hatab Anbarı çetelecesi. Schooling included Sıbyan; Rüşdiye; Mekteb-i Tıbbiye-i Şahane. The language repertoire included French and Turkish.^[1]
