Life and register readings
Born in Erzincan, Mustafa Efendi came from the İslam community; the father's occupation was "Erzincan adliyesi memuru". The first annual entry, for 1869/70 (AH 1286), names Mustafa as Askerlik (silk-i askeri girişi), with no place. For 1873 to 1876, 1877 to 1878 and 1879 to 1882 the lists have no entry. The annual lists then follow Mustafa to Tire in 1882/83. Alongside, the lists for 1882 to 1891 give a second post, in a post with no place named as Muayene Memuru.
