Life and register readings
Born in Taşköprü in 1875/76 (AH 1292), İsmail Hakkı Efendi was the child of a tradesman (esnaf). İsmail Hakkı began work in Taşköprü in 1891/92, at about 16. The annual lists begin in 1891/92, with İsmail Hakkı as Tahrirat Kalemi mülazımı in Taşköprü, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1898/99. For 1894 to 1896 the lists have no entry.
