Life and register readings
The life of Osman Efendi began in Ürgüp in 1877/78 (AH 1294). Osman began work in 1891/92, at about 15, on a first salary of 60 kuruş. The first annual entry, for 1891/92, names Osman as Matbah-ı Hassa tablakârı, with no place.
