The life

Mahmud Celaleddin Pa şa was born in Balıkesir in 1835/36 (AH 1251). The father’s occupation was Kars sancağı mutasarrıfı. Schooling included Sıbyan mektebi; özel hoca (sarf-nahv).^[source]

Service began in Istanbul (Dersaadet) in 1845/46 (AH 1262). Service included Divan-ı Hümayun Kalemi ve Mektubi-i Seraskeri Kalemi mülazımı in Istanbul (Dersaadet) (1845 to 1849 (AH 1262 to 1265)). Later posts included Kıltonlu Aşireti ve Aba Fabrikası Müdürü in Balıkesir (1854/55 (AH 1271)), Kaymakam in Pazardzhik (Tatarpazarcığı) (1863/64 (AH 1280)) and Mazuliyet maaşı (Tekaüt) (1892/93 (AH 1310)). Istanbul (Dersaadet) appears most often, across 4 dated years. Entries later return to Balıkesir, the recorded birthplace.^[1]
