Life and register readings
MUSTAFA NAZMİ EFENDİ was born in Varna in 1851/52 (AH 1268); the father was a merchant (tüccar). At about 15, in 1866/67, MUSTAFA NAZMİ began work in Varna. The first annual entry, for 1866/67, places MUSTAFA NAZMİ in Varna, the birthplace, as Temyiz-i Hukuk Mahkemesi mülazımı, where the entries run to 1878. The lists have no entry for 1878 to 1894. The last entries, from 1894 to 1897, name MUSTAFA NAZMİ as Sandık memuru, with no place. The lists give Infisal for 1878 and Azil (dismissal) for 1896/97 instead of a title.
