Life and register readings
The life of Mehmed Efendi began in Tokat in 1873/74 (AH 1290). The schooling was at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi). Work began in 1896/97, at about 23, on a first salary of 250 kuruş. The annual lists begin in 1896/97, with Mehmed as Tahsildar and no place named.
