Life and register readings
Receb Efendi was born in Shkodër (İşkodra) in 1878/79 (AH 1296). At about 17, in 1896/97, Receb began work in Üsküdar. The first annual entry, for 1896/97, names Receb as Telgrafhane mülazımı, with no place. Alongside, the lists for 1901 to 1903 give a second post, in Ürgüp as Telgraf ve Posta Merkezi muhabere memuru.
