İstefenaki Muzurus was born in Pazar (Atina) in 1840/41 (AH 1256); the father's occupation was "Londra sefiri". Work began in 1860/61, at about 20. The annual lists begin in 1860/61, with İstefenaki Muzurus as Londra Sefareti ikinci kâtibi and no place named. The lists have no entry for 1881 to 1884. In place of a title the lists give Mazuliyet for 1887/88.
