Life and register readings
Born in Harput in 1846/47 (AH 1263), Mehmet Said Efendi was the child of a clerk (katip). At about 23, in 1870/71, Mehmet Said began work. The annual lists begin in 1870/71, with Mehmet Said as Dördüncü Ordu nüfus kalemi mülazımı and no place named. The lists have no entry for 1888 to 1905. In place of a title the lists give Vefat (death) for 1905/06.
