Life and register readings
Sezai Efendi was born in Komotini (Gümülcine) in 1861/62 (AH 1278). Work began in Komotini in 1878, at about 16. The annual lists begin in 1878, with Sezai as Mal Kalemi mülazımı in Komotini, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1905/06. The lists have no entry for 1883 to 1890 and 1906 to 1910. Alongside, the lists for 1897/98 give a second post, in Sultanyeri as Aşar ihale memuru. The last post was in Komotini again in 1910/11.
