The life
Mehmed Kâmil Efendi was born in Çerçen karyesi, Zağfiranbolu in 1851/52 (AH 1268), within the İslam community. Schooling included Mekteb-i Nüvvab; medrese (icazetname). The language repertoire included Turkish. [1]
Service began in Kandıra in 1891/92 (AH 1309). Service included Mekteb-i Nüvvab şahadetnamesi (sınıf-ı hamis) (1883/84 (AH 1301)). Later posts included Naib in Kandıra (1891/92 (AH 1309)), Naib in Gönen (1893/94 (AH 1311)) and Sınıf-ı rabiaya terfi (1903/04 (AH 1321)). [1]
Monthly pay went from 750 kuruş in 1891/92 (AH 1309) to 675 kuruş in 1900/01 (AH 1318); the highest recorded monthly rate is 1,000 kuruş in 1893/94 (AH 1311). An undated death entry survives. [1]
