Life and register readings
Ömer Lütfü Efendi was born in Taşköprü in 1868/69 (AH 1285); the father was a farmer (çiftçi). At about 30, in 1898/99, Ömer Lütfü began work in Istanbul, on a first salary of 1,000 kuruş. The annual lists begin in 1898/99, with Ömer Lütfü as Mabeyn-i Hümayun kâtibi in Istanbul, where the entries run to 1908/09. The last post was in Bayburt in 1909/10. The lists give Azil (dismissal) for 1908/09 and İstifa (resignation) for 1911 instead of a title.
