Life and register readings
Ömer Lütfi Efendi was born in Shkodër (İşkodra) in 1863/64 (AH 1280); the father was a merchant (tüccar). At about 25, in 1888/89, Ömer Lütfi began work, on a first salary of 140 kuruş.
