Karabet Karlo

The life of Karabet Karlo began in Malkara in 1866/67 (AH 1283); the father's occupation was "Malkara Meclis-i Dava mümeyyizi". At about 21, in 1887/88, Karabet Karlo began work in Malkara, on a first salary of 75 kuruş. The first annual entry, for 1887/88, places Karabet Karlo in Malkara, the birthplace, as Emlak-ı Hümayun Şubesi odacısı, where the entries run to 1891/92. Alongside, the lists for 1891 to 1899 give a second post, in İpsala as Emlak-ı Hümayun Şubesi ikinci kâtibi vekili. Alongside, the lists for 1898 to 1904 give a second post, in Keşan as Emlak-ı Hümayun Şubesi başkâtibi. Alongside, the lists for 1903 to 1908 give a second post, in Komotini as Emlak-ı Hümayun Şubesi başkâtibi.
