Life and register readings
İsmail Hakkı Efendi was born in Bursa vilâyetine tabî Atranos kazası in 1878/79 (AH 1296) into the İslam community; the father was a farmer (çiftçi). Work began in 1898/99, at about 19. The first annual entry, for 1898/99, names İsmail Hakkı as Atranos kazası tahrîrat kalemi (mülazemet), with no place. For 1906 to 1908 the lists have no entry.
