Life and register readings
Osman Nuri Efendi was born in Harput in 1862/63 (AH 1279), into the İslam community. At about 25, in 1887/88, Osman Nuri began work. The annual lists begin in 1887/88, with Osman Nuri as Askerî kassam kalemi mülâzımı and no place named. Alongside, the lists for 1888 to 1906 give a second post, in Istanbul as Bâb-ı Fetvâ evrak kalemi kâtibi. The lists have no entry for 1897 to 1905. The last post was in Adana in 1906/07, with a rise to Adana memuriyeti (bilâd-ı devriye).
